OVERVIEW:
Dock Street Brewery and Restaurant is seeking a full-time General Manager with a strong focus on business and operations for our esteemed and busy brewery and brewpub. The position reports to the President and VP. This is a hands-on role that requires a constant eye on profit and loss and all of the facets of running a small, high-quality artisanal brewery and brewpub.
Retail management experience required. Hospitality experience preferred. This is a daytime position and does not include opening and closing the brewpub.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Working with upper and middle management
• Overseeing mechanical and maintenance functions; long and short term projects
• Furniture and equipment purchasing
• Record keeping and tax preparation; Overseeing insurance audits; Overseeing bookkeeping
• Strategic planning and troubleshooting as needed; Human Resources
QUALIFICATIONS:
This opportunity is suited for an individual who is first and foremost hands-on with a strong focus on business and operations and an understanding of accounting.
• 2-3 years of Retail management experience. Hospitality experience preferred
• Professional with experience in a grass-roots work environment where creativity is key
• Analytic and intelligent decision maker, problem solver
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong leadership and strategic management skills
Salary: From $42,000 or commensurate with experience.
