Brewer Needed - Florida Avenue Brewing - Tampa, Florida
Florida Avenue Brewing is located in Sunny Tampa, FL, currently an exploding craft beer market. We are looking to add an experienced Brewer to our team immediately! The Brewer performs all aspects of beer production, from Start to finish. This includes, but not limited to wort production, cellar operations, filtration, sanitation and CIP of equipment.
Required Duties including but not limited to:
·Wort Production
·Filtering- DE filtration experience a plus (BIG PLUS!)
·Kegging
·Cleaning equipment
·Milling
·CIP tanks/kegs
·Receive/Build orders
·Maintain organization and weekly inventories of grain, hops
·Troubleshoot issues
·Assist with special tasks as needed
·Assure cleanliness in the brewery and follow brewery SOPs
·Attend events and festivals is a fun plus
·All other support in the brewery
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
·Strong attention to detail
·Strong organizational and communication skills
·Ability to work independently and unsupervised
·Ability to follow directions clearly and learn quickly
·Willing to work long hours
·Experience with safely using forklifts and pallet jacks
·Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8- 12 hours per day)
·Able to lift heavy materials throughout the day (minimum 55 lbs)
·Able to squat, stoop, bend, reach, twist, walk, and climb around brewery equipment
·Able to work with hazardous materials in a safe manner
·Able to work in wet or humid conditions (This position is in Florida), wet floors and equipment and
heat
·Knowledge, passion and love beer a must.
·Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited brewing school.
·At minimum, two years experience working in a brewery. (Please No Homebrewers)
·Able to work basic computer programs such as MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
·Mechanical aptitude required and experience working with small tools a plus
