The Angel City Brewery is looking for an experienced brewer. We are located in downtown L.A., in the Arts District.

Position: Staff Brewer
Location: Angel City Brewery, Los Angeles, CA
Responsibilities:
• Primarily Responsible for making brewery sanitation and safety a priority.
• Executes brewing process according to recipe formulation of all ACB products to ensure adherence to specification.
• Conducts quality checks, process audits, and monitors production reports to ensure adherence to quality standards and performance.
• Keeps track of inventory of supplies and ingredients for ACB, and relay’s information to head brewer in a timely manner to ensure there are no interruptions in the production schedule.
• Relay information regarding quality issues of ingredients and brewing materials to head brewer.
• Support all functions of Brewery and Tour Center.
• Will be asked to contribute to market visits to work with sales personnel during beer tastings, public house staff education, and beer dinners, represent ACB at local events.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical requirements: Able to be on your feet for 8 hours at a time. Be able to move 160lbs.
Working conditions: Brewery atmosphere, loud, warehouse conditions.
Education and Experience:
Required: Bachelors Degree
Desired Education: B.S. in Brewing; B.S. in Food Science Technology, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering; or Brewers Diploma/Certification recommended
Required Experience: 1+ years cellar experience in brewery or food grade production facility Proven ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Proven knowledge of Brewery operations. Proven ability to make knowledgeable, quick decisions in a fast- paced environment. Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Desired: Previous lead or supervisory experience with a strong team preferred
