Central City Brewers & Distillers, twice recognised as the Canadian Brewery of the year, is seeking a fulltime brew-house operator to join our passionate team.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring of automated brewhouse to ensure production of consistent, high quality wort.
Adherence to all documentation practices and Quality standards.
All aspects of yeast management.
Cleaning and sanitation of fermentation vessels, yeast brinks, and brewhouse vessels.
Bulk malt receiving, and milling operations.
Other duties as dictated by production requirements.
Desired Attributes:
Prior experience in production brewery setting. Familiarity with brewhouse software platforms would be advantageous.
Internationally recognised brewing qualification (e.g. IBD, Herriot Watt, Siebel, UCD).
Demonstrable passion for craft beer.
Ability to meet the requirements of this physically demanding role i.e. strength to repeatedly lift 25kg bags, mobility to work in tight places, willingness to work in hot/cold/humid/dry conditions, vitality to remain standing and on the move for 8 hours etc.
As this position is based in Surrey, BC it is expected that all applicants will be able to display valid work rights for Canada.
Excellent time management, and ability to multi-task.
Remuneration package will be commensurate with skills and experience.
