Director of Brewery Operations – Fairfield, CA
Heretic Brewing Company, an award winning craft beer brewery located in Fairfield California, is currently interviewing for a Director of Brewing Operations. We are looking for highly motivated professionals with a passion for craft beer to provide exceptional leadership of our brewing team. The Director will oversee brewing, packaging, shipping, and facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain brewery quality, sanitation and safety standards
• Continuously review processes to identify areas for quality improvement and operational efficiency
• Hire, train and encourage new brewery members though leadership, mentoring and knowledge
• Manifest our business strategy by creating operational goals and objectives
• Create production schedules to meet sales forecasts and shifting demands
• Manage procurement and ordering of necessary raw materials balanced against production needs
• Help set budgets for payroll and capital expenditures
• Communicate effectively and regularly with other team members as well as office, sales, tap room and management staff.
• Ensure necessary updates/reports are completed and submitted on time.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 or more years of professional brewing experience
• Advanced degree in brewing sciences or proven experience
• Previous team management experience
• Highly organized with the ability to efficiently manage time, tasks, and to hit deadlines
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
