Day Block Brewing is a brewpub located in the Downtown East District of Minneapolis. Our scratch kitchen is known for creative pizzas, sandwiches and apps as well as awesome catering. We work with local farmers and vendors as much as possible.
Day Block Brewing Company has an immediate opening for a part-time brewer with a minimum of two years of production brewing experience. This person should have a strong attention to detail, be willing to collaborate, a passion for excellence and a strong ability to effectively communicate.
Compensation TBD based on experience. Hours will vary and will require early morning
and may include occasional weekends.
Must be physically able to lift and move 55 lb. grain sacks, drag heavy hoses across the floor and perform other physically demanding duties, such as moving kegs weighing up to 170 lbs.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• The complete process of brewing beer on our 10 bbl DME System
• Track all data points throughout the brewing process
• Yeast management
• Cellar and fermentation management
• Fermentation to Brite Tank transfers
• Equipment maintenance and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Good understanding of brewery QA / QC to troubleshoot any beer related issues
• Brewery safety and OSHA compliance
• Assist in tracking of inventory levels and product availability
• Attention to detail and cleanliness
• Brewery events + promotions as needed
• All other duties as assigned
