The role of a Shift Brewer includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
•Maintaining a sanitary environment
•Wort Production (milling, mashing, boiling, hop additions, chilling wort)
•Fermenter Cleaning
•Record Keeping and reporting to the Brewmaster
•Beer transferring and filtering
•Cleaning brewhouse at the end of the day
•Performs other tasks and assignments as instructed by the Brewmaster.
Requirements:
• At a minimum, home brewing experience is required.
• You should have a strong focus on quality, safety and efficiency, constantly evaluating work practices in the spirit of "always improving".
• You must be able to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly and maneuver 175 lbs. kegs as needed.
• Must be able to twist/turn, reach over shoulders and stand/walk on a continual basis.
• Work on your feet for over eight hours at a time.
• Work in extreme temperatures for extended periods of time.
• Work in loud production environments.
• Work with chemicals of varying composition.
• Work in damp/wet areas.
• Ability to multi-task and follow standard operating procedures.
• Work independently as well as a team player.
• Strong mechanical ability with problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work all shifts, additional hours & weekends as necessary.
• A desire to learn and grow with the company and maintain a positive attitude
• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack and forklift certification
• You must be an open and good communicator. Respect for fellow co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
• A great attitude and passion for craft beer is required!
