    Head Brewer Wanted in the beautiful Inland Northwest.
    The ideal applicant will have a four-year college degree preferably with a background in chemistry or biology or Formal brewing education and at least 2 years of paid experience in commercial brewing, preferably with a production background. He or she will have a working knowledge of lab procedures including cell counts, viability tests, and plating/testing for beer spoilage organisms.
    The candidate should have excellent computer skills. The selected individual will have strong problem solving and record keeping skills. Excellent communication skills are required.

    Applicants are expected to independently brew batches and manage brewing operations including but not limited to: handling raw material, operating the brewhouse, vessel CIP, lab work, and yeast management.

    The single most important qualification the applicant will have is an unbridled passion for producing craft beer and for craft beer in general. The actual skill set you have is an important consideration but skills can be taught while passion something that you either have or don’t.

    Additionally, applicants should be able to:
    Build and run spreadsheets.
    Manage inventory and keep precise records for all raw materials.
    Understand SOP’s regarding all manufacturing and sanitation standards.
    Lift 55lbs repeatedly.
