Rockyard Brewing Co, in Castle Rock CO is seeking a brewer to produce beers in our pub/production facility.
Duties will likely include, but not be limited to:
• Wort production on
o 3-vessel semi-automated brewhouse
o 2-vessel manual pub system
• Filtration (sheet filter / “DE” filter)
• CIP of all equipment
• Cellaring operations
• Bottling
• Kegging
• Milling malt
• Limited lab work, including cell counting
• Shipping/receiving
• Moving beer kegs between cold storage facilities
• Problem-solving, trouble-shooting, repair and maintenance of equipment, including our draught beer
systems
• Giving brewery tours
• Draught beer line cleaning
• Presence at beer festivals
Must have 2-3 years COMMERCIAL brewing experience (this is not an internship)
The ideal candidate will have:
• Extensive knowledge of how beer is made, packaged, and served
• Passion for the art of craft beer, the science behind it, and the opportunity to produce the best beer
possible.
• Impeccable written/electronic communication and organization skills
• Ability to do precise, consistent record-keeping in paper and digital formats
• Relentless attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety
• Computer literacy, especially familiarity with Excel-style spreadsheets
• Ability to independently work, manage time, and prioritize tasks
• Positive, team-oriented attitude incorporating a strong and committed work ethic
• Flexibility in work schedule and duties, including some weekends and low-level cleaning
• Good mechanical skills
• Ability to meet the physical challenges of brewing, including lifting 55lbs multiple times during the day,
climbing stairs on a regular basis, stooping and working in close quarters, handling heavy hoses,
valves, and other small pieces of equipment
• Ability to speak in front of groups, lead tours, talk with our brewpub guests, restaurant staff, and the
public
