Located within sight of the pristine Columbia river, Ordnance Brewing sits majestically next to the railroad tracks in Boardman, OR. We craft only the finest ales and lagers, as well as do a fair amount of aging in both wine and whiskey barrels.
Ordnance Brewing is looking for a highly talented assistant brewer to join the next up and coming brewery team in Eastern Oregon. Applicants must posses a willingness to work hard and learn new skills. This is a relatively full time position consisting of 30+ hours a week. If needed we can find work in other areas (eg. Taproom) to fill the gap. As a rapidly growing brewery the list of odd jobs is endless and this must be okay with any and all applicants.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Tank CIP
Keg Cleaning
Beer Transfers
General QA/QC
General Cleaning
Forklift Operation
Bulk Ingredient Handling
Brewing
Plus much more!
Requirements:
Ability to multi-task
Good Attention to detail
OLCC Servers permit (or the ability to get one)
Ability to coherently communicate
Willingness to follow directions
Ability to lift 55 pounds, and maneuver 160
Self-motivated
Tolerance for working in less than ideal conditions (Hot in the summer, Cold in the winter)
Problem-solver
Ability to learn standard cleaning and sanitizing procedures
Follows tasks and projects through to completion
Willingness to Relocate to Eastern Oregon
Bonus points for:
Previous brewing experience
Lab experience
