    JOB TITLE: Tasting Room Manager
    LOCATION: San Diego, CA
    REPORTS TO: Owner
    POSITION TYPE: Salaried
    HOURS: 40+, nights and weekends
    APPROXIMATE START DATE: August 2015

    Duck Foot Brewing Co is a 5,000 square ft. brewery and tasting room in the heart of Beeramar San Diego CA. Our facility features a 15 bbl Premier Brewing System and a kick ass tasting room with boxing Robots.

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Tasting Room Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the tasting room and guest experience at Duck Foot Brewing Company.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are certainly not limited to):
    • Must be passionate and highly knowledgeable about Craft Beer
    • Adhere to all policies and goals of the Duck Foot Brewing including accountability for cost control and profitability of tasting room
    • Interview and hire enthusiastic, applicants who have great communication skills
    • Responsible for coordinating the training of all staff including DFBC policies, beers, brewing process, service standards, TIPS training, POS system, and company info.
    • Efficient scheduling of employees so as to ensure the highest level of service while also controlling overtime/labor costs.
    • Ensure that staff meets the highest standards of safety, service and appearance.
    • Ensure that tasting room is maintained in a clean and organized manner at all times
    • Work closely with and attend meetings with Management Staff, Brewmaster, and Sales Director to stay current on upcoming changes, events, promotions, new beers etc.
    • Program and Update POS daily for beers, snacks and food truck updates
    • Order and receive all products for the tasting room... including beverages, snacks, glassware, supplies etc. Maintaining appropriate inventory levels
    • Conduct inventories of all product at the close of business each month
    • Verify all payroll hours for submission to the payroll service for processing
    • Verify all invoices daily and submit to accounting
    • Count and verify all banks and cash daily
    • Event scheduling including details and coordination between staff and brewery
    • Log staff and customer suggestions, comments, etc. to share with management
    • Keep abreast of developments and trends in the craft beer industry
    • Flexible schedule required

    QUALIFICATIONS
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    DESIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    • 3-5 years hospitality experience required, preferably with an emphasis on craft beer.
    • Hospitality supervisory/leadership experience a must.
    • TIPS certification required.
    • Level I Cicerone® Certification required.
    • Knowledge of restaurant POS systems
    • Ability to multi task.
    • Attention to detail is a must

    Pay rate depends on experience.
