    Formula for comparing electric vs natural gas economy

    I am contemplating a direct fire 30 percent efficiency natural gas system vs electric. I keep on getting mixed opinions on price economy.....

    Local costs

    12 cents per kwh vs 42 cents per cubic meter.

    Would love to see the formula so i can crunch numbers in the future myself

    I don't have a formula for you but I am a combination. I am doing electric brew house to make it easier for fire inspection but saving on the price of heating (for us heating by gas is 5x cheaper according to our plumber) by putting a series of tankless gas water heaters.
