The Appalachian Mountain Brewery in Boone, NC is looking to hire assistant brewers! We are located in the heart of the High Country of North Carolina with a booming outdoors scene and college town. We are two year old going on three. This position will encompass all brewing and cellaring activities, as well as working in our new Cider facility.
Responsibilities for this position include:
• Responsible for entire brewing process including: brewing, cellaring, and packaging
• Cleaning/ sanitizing tanks and other equipment
• Kegging and keg cleaning
• Quality Control, including determining yeast viability and pitch rate.
• Accurate record keeping
• Participation in events and festivals
Candidates for this position must have credentials in order to be considered for this position:
• Experience as a head brewer or assistant brewer for at least 2 years
• Physical strength to lift 55lbs repeatedly
• Possess a mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
• Flexible work schedule
• Ability to work in a team
• Must be willing to relocate to Boone
If the brewer happened to have any experience in a barrel program or in the cider industry, that would not hurt your chances either.
