  • moving tanks

I have 3 15bb bright beer tanks I need to move out of a downstairs location (no elevator). Can anyone suggest a relatively easy way to get them up the stairs?
    Thanks in advance.

    OSHA Nightmare!

How about hiring someone else to do it?

No? Okay.......tanks on their side, secured to a piece of 3/4" plywood as a sled, use a block and tackle setup to help "pull" the tanks up while others are pushing (make sure the rope is connected to the tank, not the plywood sled!). If you use a ratio pully system, you can create a remarkable amount of pull.
To build this the rope goes from the "puller" to a pulley back towards the puller and through another pulley and then to the mass to be moved.
    Hope this helps.

      Cinch!

Simply seal the tank and fill with helium. Seriously, don't forget to tie a good rope around a leg or you could lose it!
