Director of Brewing Operations/ Head Brewer

Our brewery, located in sunny Sarasota, FL, is growing and expanding rapidly. Currently we brew on a 15 bbl brewhouse as well as a 3 bbl system we use for R & D. In 2016, we will be brewing on our own system, as well as a nearby 100 bbl brewing system. We’re at that point of growing from a small, local brewery producing under 10,000 bbls annually to a regional brewery making and distributing tens of thousands of barrels a year. We’re looking for a brewer with strong management skills and experience to lead us through the change. Initially, your staff will consist of one assistant brewer and two full-time brewery assistants. Off the bat, you will be brewing as much of the time as you are managing the brewery, but as we grow and demand increases to bring on more brewers, we will make that happen and at some point in the future you will likely find yourself spending most or all of your time managing the brewery.

We make a mixture of Innovative and Traditional Ales and Lagers, but generally lean towards Ales. Moving forward we will be putting more emphasis on brewing “extreme” and Innovative beers so a background that demonstrates experience brewing these kinds of beers is preferred. An open mind and willingness to making innovative and “extreme” beers is mandatory.
