Job title: Brewer
Hours: Full time (32+ hours/week)
Sunriver Brewing Company is seeking a detail oriented team player with a passion for the highest quality craft beer. We desire someone who can maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in a busy, fast paced Central Oregon craft brewery. That person should have ridiculously high standards of brewery safety, sanitation and beer quality. The ideal candidate will be looking for long term employment and growth opportunities within our company.
Job description includes, but is not limited to -
• Wort production
• Yeast management
• Monitoring of product throughout fermentation
• All aspects of cellarwork - including CIP of fermentation, bright beer tanks and packaging equipment, dry hopping and fining in process beer, and racking and carbonating finished beer
• Packaging of draft, bottled and canned beer
• QA/QC duties, including sensory evaluation and lab work
• Keg washing
• Recipe development – brewing on 3 bbl pilot brewhouse
• Stocking coolers and inventory management
• Processing and loading orders for distribution
• Draft system cleaning, maintenance and installation
• Wastewater management
• General brewery cleaning, maintenance and equipment installation
• Draft soda and root beer production
• Attend industry events and give brewery tours as needed
Qualifications and requirements –
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record for operation of a company vehicle
• A minimum of two years work experience in a high volume brewpub or production brewery is preferred
• Formal education from a recognized brewing school preferred
• Ability to lift 55 lbs repeatedly as well as maneuver filled kegs (150+ lbs)
• Experience with barrel aging and bottle conditioning preferred
• Previous experience operating a forklift preferred
• Flexible with work schedule (AM/PM, weekends and extended hours as needed)
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work on a ladder at heights 10-13’ above floor level
• Ability to work in noisy, hot, cold and wet environments
• Ability to work safely, and without allergic reaction, to brewery sanitation chemicals

Located in the resort community of Sunriver, Oregon the company operates an award winning pub and restaurant in the Sunriver Village as well as a 12,000 square foot production brewery in the Sunriver Business Park. We brew our award winning beers on an Oregon built, steam fired 15 bbl brewhouse as well as a 3 bbl pilot system, and pride ourselves on the quality, consistency and flavor profile of our beers.
