Fellow brewers,
My ongoing seething frustration with our current supplier of 6-pack carriers has finally reached the tipping point. I won't waste bandwidth recounting all of the ways this supplier has failed my company, but the worst involve multiple occasions of the following scenario. I place an order and am told that the carriers will ship in 6 weeks. Approximately 4 weeks later I call to make sure everything is ok with the schedule, and am told that yes it is. Approximately 4 weeks after that I call and am told that there was some sort of mix up (buck passing, buck passing, buck passing) and my carriers didn't print. Maybe we'll be able to get them to you about a month late.
I am eager to switch suppliers. My ideal supplier would (in no particular order) 1) reliably ship on time, 2) inform me if there is a delay (rather than waiting for my distressed call when they don't arrive), 3) offer quality carriers on wet-strength board stock, 4) be able to handle relatively small orders (we typically buy between 12,000 and 24,000 carriers at a time, though we're growing!), 5) offer reasonable pricing.
I would appreciate any advice anyone might be able to offer. Who do you recommend? Who would you avoid? Thanks very much.
