We are a start-up craft distillery and brewery in the Greater Los Angeles area – new home to many incredible craft breweries. But we are the only one that does both – spirits and beer production. We’re looking for an experienced brewer to join our team of beer and spirits lovers in December / January.
You will help us create new, amazing, high quality recipes and craft spirits as well (if you know how to brew, you can and will learn how to distill). You will have a large hand in developing our initial beers that go to market. You will help manage, design, and maintain our distillery-brewery. You will be charged with many aspects of production, including running and maintaining our 15 BBL system and 2,000L still.
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 years of production brewing experience (10 BBL or greater system)
- A degree from a professional brewing education program preferred
- Tenacity to work for a start-up (40-65 hour weeks, sometimes more)
- Ability to stand on feet for 8+ hours and lift 65 pounds on a consistent basis
- Attention to detail and dedication to high quality brewing (and distilling) process and ingredients
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Passion for the craft
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage time effectively
Responsible for:
- Produce beer and spirits
- Complete all facets of the brewing process including brew house operations, cellar, filtration, finishing, building a barrel aging program
- Oversee all brewing and packaging operations
- Develop recipes
- Manage operations
- Manage inventory
- Know the CA beer industry
- Interact professionally with customers, vendors, distributors, clients, city officials, etc.
- Follow directions

Benefits/Compensation:
- Compensation is commensurate to experience and education
- Paid company holidays, seven float holidays and ten days Paid Time Off (PTO)
