  • TTB Form 5130.9 Line 2

So, I'm pretty confused as to what number is supposed to go here. I've read just about everything on the TTB website, and there really isn't a clear explanation of where this number should come from. The only time I can measure volumes before racking or bottling is in the kettle and in the brite, so I can only provide one of those numbers here. Should the wort number from the kettle be used and the difference between it and the volume transferred to the brite be noted as a shortage, or should I use the volume transferred to the brite and thus most likely not have to note any shortage at all?

Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance!

Did you get this sorted out? I think one of the important things is that your brite is not your fermenter, that you have an additional brite strictly to measure the answer to this question.
