Position Summary
The Assistant Brewer provides primarily supports all aspects of the brewing process and production
team, but assists the packaging, warehouse, and logistics teams when needed.

Essential Functions & Duties
· Efficiently operates all brewing equipment at the Main Brewery including the brew house,
filters, keg machine, cleaning supplies, miller, and all other brewing-related materials.
· Assists the brewers, packaging, warehouse, and logistics teams as instructed with various tasks
and duties.
· Assists with the operation of the main brewery’s bottling line following all established policies
and procedures.
· Performs daily clean-up and maintenance of the brewing and packaging equipment.
· Monitors cleaning cycles for proper concentration, pressures, and efficiency.
· Analyzes the brewery and bottling line equipment, components, raw materials, and end
products communicating recommendations for change accordingly.
· Maintains and rebuilds cooperage as needed.
· Assists in the daily operations of the warehouse including shipping, receiving and organization.
· Loads and unloads company merchandise, beer, and mail into the company vehicles, in
accordance with safety standards.
· Assists with the organization of the cold and dry storage areas.
· Assists with route deliveries as necessary; adhering to designated routes, delivery schedules,
and delivery policies & procedures.
· Effectively and safely operates a forklift and/or hand truck to transport company products.
· Complies with all safety and health regulations.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· HS diploma or equivalent.
· 1-2 years experience working in a brewery or other consumable goods production facility.
· Works well independently and cooperatively with others.
· Strong communication skills spanning all levels within the organization.
· Mechanical aptitude for equipment repairs and trouble shooting.
· Must maintain a valid California driver’s license and be insurable on the Company’s motor
vehicle insurance policy.
· Ability to follow directions, read maps, and ask for assistance when necessary.
· Flexible schedule to accommodate seasonal production demands.
· Forklift certification preferred.
