Start up brewery in beautiful Sheridan, MT is looking for a head brewer. Our innovative and forward thinking company will demand excellence from the candidate we hire. Exceptional product and exemplary customer service will be the focus. Looking for someone that will grow with the company. This position should be available on or about March 1st. Duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to;
• Full time position operating brewhouse
• Brewing beer and formulating recipes
• Cleaning and sanitizing tanks
• Oversee packaging and canning
• Assist in start up which may include-purchase, install and set up of equipment
• Record keeping
• Ordering production supplies and maintain inventory
• Coordinate production with sales and marketing
• Understand current trends in the industry and be able to adjust to them accordingly
• Represent brewery through marketing and promotional events, including festivals
• Educate tasting room staff on production and beer styles
Requirements
• 3+ years experience brewing beer, professional degree and training is a plus
• Experience in a high volume production facility
• Prior packaging and/or bottling/canning experience
• Must possess good mechanical skills and be able to fix equipment when necessary
• Must have great attention to detail
• Self motivated, focused and driven
• Possess great communication skills with both internal and external customers
• Flexibility with hours(nights and weekends)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
