Georgia Beer Company, South Georgia's first and only craft brewery is looking for a head brewer to open their production facility in Valdosta, GA. Our head brewer will have a profound and involved influence in recipe development, as as all aspects of the planning, brewing, and fermenting process. A combination of experience and education is preferred, with at least 3 years in a production brewery setting.
Do you like warm, sunny climates, hospitality, and great people? Once open, Georgia Beer Co. will be the only Georgia brewery for 120 miles.
Valdosta holds many accolades, from one of the 10 best downtowns in the State, to one of the friendliest cities in the country.
Currently, Georgia Beer Co. is on a path to a public/private partnership with the City of Valdosta, Valdosta-Lowndes Industrial Authority, and Valdosta Main Street to renovate and revitalize a historic downtown building. We plan to use as many local ingredients as we possibly can. There are several farms within an hours drive that grow peaches, pecans, blueberries, etc...
Our number one goal is to provide the south half of the State of Georgia with its own beer. There are some truly great and amazing beers coming out of Atlanta and other areas, but we want to be the Southernmost supplier of delicious and fresh beer. Accessibility is the one thing we can offer South Georgia that the other great breweries cannot.
