Hard cider is one of the hottest categories in Craft brewing. And Downeast is one of the fastest growing brands in hard cider. Our 7 blends have the unfiltered freshness, craft process and balanced flavors that appeal to novice and discerning drinkers alike.
Maybe that’s why our sales have more than doubled every year for the last four years. Why we have 16,000 sq ft of additional production space coming online this summer. And why we’re looking for high-energy brewers with at least a year of experience hungry for an opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Process Cleaning (Tanks, filters, kegs etc)
◦ Understand chemical proper usage of chemicals and safety
• Proper usage of pumps, hoses, and various cider-making equipment
• Maintenance of clean work environment
• Ability to run multiple forms of filtration
◦ Primarily plate & frame, lenticular
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
• Ability to sub-in on packaging line when needed
• Ability to perform basic maintenance of cidery equipment
• In-line and tank carbonation of product
• Use fork-lift, manual and electric pallet jacks.
• Potential to rotate shifts once fully trained
Requirements
• Excellent time-management skills
• Excellent communication skills
◦ Verbal, Written and documentation on company checklists
• High-energy, collaborative, positive attitude. No assholes needed
• Ability to regularly work the late shift
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Strong focus on quality and safety
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day
• Ability to stoop, crouch, kneel and lift 50+ lbs
