White Labs is looking for an Assistant Brewer to join our San Diego team!
Under general direction of the Brewing Manager, the Assistant Brewer is responsible for producing wort for yeast propagation in addition to brewing beer for sale and consumption in the White Labs Tasting Room.
Essential Functions & Duties
Operates all brewing equipment to produce wort that meets specifications for yeast propagation.
Responsible for full cycle brewing process and operation of brewing equipment for beer production.
Monitors fermentation, notifying management of any concerns or issues.
Kegs finished beer for sale in Tasting Room.
Performs daily clean up and maintenance of brewery area.
Performs CIP on all brewing equipment/fermenters as required.
Assists with additional tasks as required by Brewing/Production department.
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of skills and experience:
High School diploma or equivalent.
1+ year of experience working in a brewery, preferably in a brewing/production capacity.
Forklift certification a plus.
Works well independently and cooperatively with others.
Flexible schedule to accommodate production needs, including occasional weekend work.
