    BenchTop Brewing Company in Norfolk, VA is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team as our Tasting Room Manager. General responsibilities and benefits are detailed below. We will be collecting resumes until 7/31 and this position will start approximately 9/21. This is great opportunity with plenty of room to grow and a chance to get in on the ground level with an innovative craft brewery.     General Responsibilities
    • Responsible for daily opening and closing activities in the tasting room
    • Maintain a welcoming, educational, exciting and inviting experience to BTBC customers
    • Manage tasting room customer satisfaction and overall brewery visitor experience
    • Scheduling and managing of promotional events at the brewery to increase revenue
    • Create monthly taproom bartender schedule
    • Supervise co-workers and communicate job expectations when needed
    • Actively help bartend and interact with customers
    • Manage food truck and music schedule for the tasting room
    • Manage merchandise, cleaning products, and glassware inventory
    • Learn and update the Point of Sale system for price and menu changes
    • Work with POS company when computer issues arise
    • Responsible for bar keg transfer record keeping
    • Assist in creating promotional posters for events
    • Manage company social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) for taproom events
    • Provide top notch service to all customers
    • Represent BTBC in a professional manner at all times
    • Assist in representing BenchTop Brewing Company at select festivals
    • Manage data collection of sensory trials in tasting room

    Essential Job Responsibilities
    • 2 year college degree or more
    • 3 years minimum bar/restaurant and/or brewery/winery retail management experience that includes purchasing, inventory control, marketing, budgetary controls, personnel supervision, and process improvement.
    • Work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
    • Night and weekend work required Wednesday through Sunday.
    • Cicerone certification desired
    • Knowledge and passion for the craft beer industry
