    Arbor Brewing Company Microbrewery is seeking an awesome individual to add to our brewing family! This ideal candidate should be hardworking, highly motivated, quality focused, safety driven, and team oriented, to join the brewing team in our rapidly growing, fast paced, production brewery in the weird and wonderful city of Ypsilanti, MI!
    Arbor Brewing Company has been a leader and innovator on the Michigan craft beer scene since opening the doors to its brewpub in 1995. The ABC Microbrewery opened in 2006 and has been rapidly expanding ever since. We brew on a 21 bbl. Price-Schonstrom system, have distribution throughout the state of Michigan, Ohio, and Connecticut and are on track to significantly increase production again this year. We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed individual to join our growing team.
    Cellar Person/Production Brewer
    In the role of Cellar Person, you will be responsible for aiding in the overall operation of the Cellar by supporting the Front of House, Events Coordinator, Director of Operations, as well as all brewery staff. The ideal candidate must be committed to maintaining consistently high standards and have a passion for helping to create and package outstanding craft beer. They must be internally motivated, detail oriented and must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays. They should be proactive and willing to take on any job that is asked of them for the success and operation of the brewery. The Cellar Person is expected to respond to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment in a constructive and positive manner.
    Primary Cellar Responsibilities:
    Inventory and opening Cellar checklist completed, Stock cooler, tandem keg dispense assembly, clean and remove unused lines, couplers, etc.
    Fill retail keg orders, in house events, donations, etc.
    daily communications with appropriate staff on keg availability, as well as updates of new additions/86'd
    Troubleshoot/maintain draft systems
    Force carb pilot batches as needed
    Clean and fill Firkins
    Sanitary CIP of serving tanks
    Transferring of beer
    Keg washer set up, break down, sanitary prep of filling couplers and keg filling
    prepping to brew – assemble ingredients, grain in, fire boiler, hop charges, etc.
    cold side data collection – ferms, gravities, dry hop, etc.
    Attending and working brewery events, onsite and off premise – work with Event Coordinator, Brand Managers, Brewery staff to assemble fest gear, rep the brewery, etc.
    Overall appearance of the brewery- cleanliness & organization
    Production Brewer Duties:
    Wort production and prepping to brew – assemble ingredients, grain in, fire boiler, hop charges, etc.
    Sanitary CIP of brew house, fermenters and brite tanks
    Assist with measurements and testing, monitoring temps and gravities on all beer in fermentation
    Assist in blowing off tanks prior to transfers to BT's, clean and sanitary transfer of beer to BT's
    Efficiently condition beer to specified volumes, utilizing staff and Zahm for achieving targets and package approval. Prep beer for transfer to ST’s and kegs. Work closely with bottling team to ensure the beer is bottle ready.
    Troubleshoot, assist and repair mechanical issues
    brew pilot batches on our Rat Pad System
    Receive orders, load trucks
    Assist with special tasks as needed
    Assure cleanliness in the brewery and follow brewery best practices
    Assist with brewery organization of all raw materials/ingredients, clean and dirty kegs, cooler, etc.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    Must be 21 years of age or older
    1-2 years professional brewing experience preferred
    Education: High School or equivalent.
    Valid driver's license
    Ability to repeatedly lift 60lbs or more
    Mechanical abilities
    Basic computer skills-proficient with email
    Must be flexible, adaptable to change and willing to do any job that is required for successful operations
    A passion for great craft beer!

    Skilled Requirements:
    - professional brewery experience
    - brewing education and professional brewing experience a plus
    - Strong attention to detail
    - Strong organizational skills
    - Strong communication skills
    - Strong documentation skills
    - Ability to work independently and unsupervised
    - Ability to follow directions clearly and learn quickly
    - Willing to work long hours, weekends and nights
    - Experience with safely using forklifts and pallet jacks
    - Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8-12 hours per day)
    - Able to lift heavy materials throughout the day (minimum 55 lbs)
    - Able to squat, stoop, bend, reach, twist, walk, and climb around brewery equipment
    - Able to work with hazardous materials in a safe manner
    - Able to work with alkaline and acidic chemicals without allergic reactions.
    - Able to work in wet or humid conditions (non*weather), wet floors, wet equipment and extreme heat

    Competitive pay based on experience.
