  • Human Resources Manager, Funky Buddha Brewery

    The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the administrative functions of Funky Buddha Brewery Inc. and will oversee the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff, consult with executives on strategic planning and implementation of policies, practices and procedures and serve as a link between Funky Buddha’s management and its employees. The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the Company President.

    Functions
    • Develop strategic solutions to meet workforce demands based upon company and labor force trends and circumstances.
    • Responsible for providing overall direction of human resources operations and support across all employee types.
    • Create, plan, implement and interpret human resources policies, procedures, and best practices and suggest opportunities for improvements.
    • Work closely with company executives to provide information, advice and recommendation on classification needs and staffing requirements based upon short-and long-term goals of the company.
    • Consult with leadership on developing an organizational structure that enhances effectiveness and reduces administrative costs.
    • Write and develop job descriptions to meet staffing needs and attract qualified personnel.
    • Plan and oversee compensation plans and philosophies.
    • Develop strategic compensation plans and align performance management systems with compensation structure.
    • Assist in developing and overseeing new hire orientation, leadership training and professional development
    • Liaison between management and employees and will manage employee relations issues and concerns
    • Assist employees in addressing questions or issues regarding benefits, time reporting, and leave issues and assure that key benefits and payroll information is appropriately disseminated
    • Conduct employee conduct investigations independently and in partnership with applicable company management as appropriate.
    • Consult with managers and supervisors to implement appropriate performance management practices and assist in addressing performance problems.
    • Review employee performance records to identify areas where employees could improve through job skills training or employee development.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to management regarding hiring, promotion, and related HR decision making and monitor compliance and adherence with all Federal, State and applicable guidelines.


    Qualifications
    • Minimum six (6) years or greater professional-level human resources experience.
    • Minimum of a Bachelors degree is required.
    • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to make decisions under pressure in fast paced environment.
    • Strong organizational and planning skills.
    • Ability to promote positive work environment.
    • Effectively lead the development of others.
    • Advanced degree in a field of study directly relevant to human resources.
    • Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA.)
    • Prior experience in coordinating or managing some combination of recruitment, compensation, employee relations, position classification or employee benefits matters.
