    Angel City Brewery, in Los Angeles, CA is looking for a Brewery Manager!

    Angel City Brewery is located in the heart of the Downtown LA Arts District, which is currently undergoing a dramatic urban renaissance. The brewery has become a cornerstone of the neighborhood, with our 500 person capacity Public House and Beer Hall opened to the public now for the past 3 years. Some details about the place:

    -4 vessel, 20bbl brewhouse
    -Full in-house yeast propagation program
    -Cellar capacity to brew approximately 10,000bbl/yr
    -Meheen 22oz Bottling line for seasonal, specialty, and barrel-aged beers
    -Full in-house brewing quality lab
    -Active clean and sour barrel-aging program
    -Current full-time brewing team of five plus intern
    -On tap at more than 600 accounts in Southern California and growing
    -On-site Public House open 7 days/week (with full-time mgmt. team in place)
    -Typically 12-18 beers available on draught at our Public House
    -Annual production of 40+ different unique beer offerings

    This is a full-time, salaried position as Brewery Manager with oversight of all facets of our brewing process from grains receiving up to and including bright beer adjustment and packaging operations. This position would also work closely with our contract brewing partners as we expand our distribution through the state of California. We’re looking for a seasoned brewer and manager who can help lead the current team forward and drive innovation, quality, and efficiency, keeping team culture a top priority. Candidates must meet the following requirements:

    -Minimum 5 years professional brewing experience
    (Formal brewing education or BS in applicable field is preferred)
    -Minimum 3 years management experience
    -Demonstrated skill with quality management and team development
    -Physically fit to operate in production brewing environment
    -Ability to repeatedly lift 55lbs
    -Strong work ethic and ability to multitask
    -Solid understanding of the hard sciences underlying the brewing process
    -Experience with basic brewing analytical instrumentation
    -Experience in brewing lab settings strongly preferred
    -Understanding and ability to perform basic brewing calculations
    -Proficiency with basic Microsoft Excel functions
