Hello Probrewer world,
Myself and a colleague are looking to start a production brewery in metro-Atlanta and are looking for a head brewer. Both of us have business backgrounds with success in operating businesses, have home-brewed a little bit, and have conducted our due diligence on the brewing industry, and are working on business plans, area location, contract brewing specifications, and marketing efforts. However, after tasting our first few batches of home-brew, have chosen to leave the actual brewing up to the professionals.
We'd like to consult with, and eventually hire, a head brewer to assist us with recipe formulation, equipment selection, contract/gypsy brewing until build out is complete, and other aspects of the business that we may not be quite as familiar with.
Plans are for a 15 bbl brewhouse when complete, yielding 1500 bbls during year 1, with plans for significant growth during the first 5 years of operation.
