Job title: Lead Brewer
Hours: Full time (40+ hours/week)
Sunriver Brewing Company is seeking a detail oriented team leader with a passion for the highest quality craft beer. We desire someone who can maintain a safe and productive work environment and lead daily floor operations. This position requires mechanical inclination as well as the ability to trouble shoot and problem solve. The ideal candidate will be looking for long term employment and growth opportunities within our company.
Job description includes, but is not limited to -
• Operation and maintenance of steam fired 15 bbl three vessel brewhouse
• Work with Head Brewer to supervise daily brewery operations
• Work with Head Brewer to manage staff on the brewery floor
• Yeast management
• Work with Head Brewer to create and implement SOPs
• Work with Head Brewer to train new brewery employees and provide staff education
• All aspects of cellar work
• Packaging of draft, bottled and canned beer
• QA/QC duties, including sensory evaluation and lab work
• Recipe formulation and new product development
• Processing orders for distribution
• Draft system maintenance and installation
• Wastewater management
• Brewery/facility maintenance and new equipment installation
• Represent the company at industry events and give brewery tours as needed
Qualifications and requirements –
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record for operation of a company vehicle
• A minimum of three years work experience in a high volume brewpub or production brewery
• Formal education from a recognized brewing school
• Experience with barrel aging and bottle conditioning preferred
• Forklift certified
• Experience with a Wild Goose canning line is a BIG plus
• Flexible with work schedule (AM/PM, weekends and extended hours as needed)
• Ability to lift 55 lbs repeatedly as well as maneuver filled kegs (150+ lbs)
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work on a ladder at heights 10-13’ above floor level
• Ability to work in noisy, hot, cold and wet environments
• Ability to work safely, and without allergic reaction, to brewery sanitation chemicals

Sunriver Brewing Company is a family owned business founded in Central Oregon in 2012. Operations are based in the resort community of Sunriver, Oregon, with a high volume pub in the Sunriver Village as well as a 12,000 square foot production brewery in the Sunriver Business Park. We opened our second pub in Bend on Galveston Avenue in February 2016. Our award winning beers are brewed on an Oregon built, steam fired 15 bbl brewhouse. We pride ourselves on the quality, consistency and flavor profile of our beers.
