    JOB TITLE: Front of House (FOH) Manager
    LOCATION: Eccentric Café, Kalamazoo, MI
    REPORTS TO: General Manager
    POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Salaried

    POSITION SUMMARY: The FOH Manager, will be responsible for all front of house operations including personnel management, customer satisfaction, as well as departmental planning and organizing. The FOH Manager is an integral part of the management team and a representative for the Bell’s brand, responsible for upholding company values at all times while ensuring our standards of quality, service to staff and customers are met.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery Inc., and is accountable for the safety of their team.
    •Motivates staff while creating a culture of positivity and accountability.
    •Meets regularly with FOH leadership team to collaborate and facilitate constant communication.
    •Collaborates with the Bar Manager and Assistant FOH Managers to schedule and manage FOH employees.
    •Works closely with the Assistant FOH Managers and Bar Manager to address developing personnel concerns.
    •Monitors FOH staff attendance records and corrects any problems.
    •Tracks and records FOH staff performance through documentation, preforms corrective action if necessary.
    •Conducts annual performance reviews to direct reports.
    •Partners with HR to recruit and train new employees.
    •Submits bi-weekly payroll data for FOH employees.
    •Forecasts supply needs and cost estimates.
    •Orders and maintains stock of supplies and equipment for FOH.
    •Ensures the FOH meets all regulations, including safety and sanitary guidelines set forth by Bell’s Brewery, Inc., Kalamazoo County Health Department, and OSHA.
    •Works to maintain the restaurant POS system.
    •Reconciles and deposits daily cash drawers.
    •Works with Entertainment Manager to understand and execute banquet/catered service processes.
    •Represents the company in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer, client, and employee interactions.
    •Remains up-to-date of all food and beverages available to customers.
    •May use the company vehicle for deliveries and travel.
    •Able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, and weekends.

    Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

    MANAGERIAL/LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •Manages Assistant FOH Managers
    •Manages Bar Manager
    •FOH Shift Leads
    •Supervises all FOH staff (bartenders, servers, server assistants, and hosts)

    •Valid driver’s license

    •Exceptional leadership skills.
    •Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortable addressing diverse groups.
    •An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards who will positively represent Bell’s Brewery both internally and externally.
    •A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
    •Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work load to balance multiple projects.
    •Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office Suite.
    •Strong attention to detail.
    •Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
    •Positive attitude.
    •Basic math skills.
    •Ability to coordinate with other departments according to schedules and needs.
    •Understanding of finances and cost management.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
    •Minimum of 5 years restaurant management experience.
    •Experience in all facets of front-of-the house.
    •A high level of professionalism.
    •Experience working with ALOHA .
    •Strong leadership skills with enthusiasm and a passion for hospitality.
    •Experience opening a new restaurant.
    •Great passion for the restaurant and brewing industries.

    •Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
    •Must consistently utilize all personal protective equipment per Bell’s Brewery, Inc. guidelines
