  • Rubber Chine Repair

We just got a load of rubber chine Sabco Kegs.

Anyone recommend a calk or other product to seal the chines so they dont fill with beer or water and get funky.

We acid wash and sanitize with 180degree water and these will be used inhouse only.

    Thanks

    Chris

    3M 5200 marine sealant...

It's worked for us. As with any product, surface preparation is key....

      Thanks.

I searched Corney keg repair and got a similar 3M product. Their auto body panel adhesive.

      Thanks

I second 3M 5200 to repair chimes and to reattach corny keg bases.

Clean and rinse very thoroughly and take your time. Before applying the sealant, spray with methyl alcohol in a squirt bottle and blow dry with a heat gun until squeeky clean and dry. Apply when still warm and let it seep deep into the crack.

Corny keg bottoms haven't fallen off in years of frequent homebrew use.
