    Purpose of Role
    This brewmaster role is unique. Taking the baton from our world renowned brewmaster retiring after 50 years in the industry! Building the bridge from deep brewing knowledge and obsession for quality, further into ingredient and consumer innovation. Being part of an empowered operations team, working in a fit for purpose way, that leverages the technical knowledge as well as the leadership component. The role gives you space to grow our in-house innovation and new product development skills, while contributing to the day to day operation as the genuine brewmaster for the most recognized and respected regional brewery. As brewmaster you are responsible for setting the product and process specification and monitoring the adherence and execution of world class brewing practices. Governing and nurturing the integrity of Great Westerns supply chain from sourcing malt to freshly filled bottles, cans and kegs into distribution.

    The role will include, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

    • Leading the technical innovation program, from strategy to creating prototypes
    • Governance of all key material, process, brewing, packaging performance indicators
    • Monitor operations against QA guidelines, including sensory and analytical
    • Represent at beer tastings in trade, external facing brewmaster ambassadorial roles

We are looking for a natural leader with a proven track record in beer operation and innovation management. You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related role, and you graduated with a brewing / master brewer degree from one of the recognized institution.




    Top 5 Accountabilities

    • Leading the evolution and fast track of our technical innovation agenda
    • Be the brew master ambassador that can face the customer/consumer with our brand team
    • Lead the brewing operations team in a cross functional versus hierarchal manner
    • Provide technical brewmaster input to the day-to-day operations team
    • Monitor key operation performance indicators against the annual operating plan and quality assurance guidelines
