Position: Brewer
Status: Full-Time
Location: Poncha Springs, CO

POSITION SUMMARY
The Brewer position will be responsible for daily brewing operations as well as cellaring and packaging duties. The right candidate will be able to wear many different hats and assist where needed while being safety-minded, efficient, and quality-focused. The ideal candidate will have a great work ethic, a positive attitude and a desire to be part of the Elevation team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Brewing on our three vessel, 15-barrel brew house
• Performing cellar operations including monitoring gravities and fermentation temperatures
• DE Filtration
• Yeast handling/propagation
• Carbonation of beer inline and in brite tanks
• CIP (brew house, fermenters, packaging)
• Bottling and kegging shifts
• Basic lab duties including cell counting and bottle airs.
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe brewing environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
• Two years of production brewery experience, preferably producing 10,000 + bbls/year
• Ability to work in a fast pace, constantly changing work environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends as well as rotating first, second, or third shifts.
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Strong mechanical and problem solving skills
• Familiar with Microsoft Office
• Lab experience is a plus
• Physical requirements: Must be able to bend over, twist, kneel, stand for the duration of a shift, lift 55 pounds, and maneuver 160 pounds repeatedly. Requires proper handling of hazardous materials and operation of complex machinery.
