EJ Phair Brewing Company in Pittsburg, CA is interested in hiring a Packaging Technician/Cellarman. The ideal candidate will possess prior knowledge of the brewing process, an exceptional work ethic, an attention to cleanliness and organization, and an understanding of safe work practices in a production facility.
Duties will include:
Setup, operation, and breakdown of our 3 headed keg washer
Racking beer into kegs and organizing keg inventory
Recording fermentation data which includes taking gravity, temperature, and pressure readings
Milling in grain for wort production
Bottling on a Meheen mobile bottling unit
Weighing out hops for wort production
Graining out and cleaning the mash tun
Scrubbing floors and keeping a clean and organized work space
Operating a pallet jack to move materials of various weights and sizes
Measuring of chemical solutions which includes Caustic, Phosphoric Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide, Peraceitic Acid, Defoamer, Isopropyl Alcohol
Requirements:
Must be able to lift 55lb
Must be able to work safely in a production facility
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must be able to provide transportation and be punctual
Mechanical aptitude
Brewing school or prior experience in a brewery/production facility is a plus but not necessary
Homebrewing accomplishments are a plus
Compensation will be $10 an hour starting
