  • Weighing Down Dry Hops

I was wondering if anyone had a calculation to figure out how much weight it takes to submerge one pound of leaf hops (or 50). I was also looking at a previous post about length of dry-hopping: I have always dry-hopped for a week or more, is 48 hours really enough?
    Thanks for any input, Dan

    Dry Hop Submersion

I do not have a calculation. I do stuff 2kg of whole flower hops into bags, Four bags, total of 8kg with Two stainless steel DIN 50 fittings in the bags then soak in 85 C. H20. Works great to submerge hop bags into liquid. Best if you can actually pour hops directly into fermenter, whole or pellitized,, that is if your fermenter has access points to do this. Will send pictures of our process if you like.
