Broad Brook Brewing Company in East Windsor, CT is looking for an assistant brewer. 30 hours a week to start.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Wort production and clean up
CIP brewery equipment
Dry hopping
Yeast Harvesting
Draft line cleaning
Raw material handling and inventory
Keeping brewery clean and orderly
Work weekends as required.
Ability to work independently and irregular hours.
Ideal candidate should possess the following:
Good organizational skills
Background in home brewing or lab science
Basic understanding of brewing and fermentation
Basic understanding of chemistry and biology
Understanding of sanitation practices
Understanding of quality assurance
Strong mechanical background
Problem-solving attitude and great attention to details.
Quick and continuous learner
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One year of commercial brewing experience
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
The qualified applicant should possess the skills to perform the following:
Ability to lift 55+ lbs.
Stand on feet all day
Work in wet conditions
Work with hazardous chemicals
Maintain strong work ethic
Compensation based on experience and abilities
