    Summary:​The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager in overseeing the front of house staff and ensuring guest satisfaction. This position reports to the General Manager.

    Job Description
    • Connect regularly with guests to ensure they feel welcomed, satisfied and valued
    • Quickly and positively respond to any complaints
    • Responsible for FOH scheduling via Shiftnote schedules.
    • Online retail orders, organizing and shipping.
    • Utilize the servant leadership approach to energize and connect with staff and to ensure their feeling of being a valued member of the Vivant team
    • Responsible for closing the restaurant down, accurately cashing out staff, putting together money drop for bank, locking up, setting alarm, etc.
    • Fill in where needed to ensure Vivant standards of service are met
    • Ensure that the entryway, restaurant, bathrooms and outdoor spaces are clean and safe
    • Work effectively with back of the house managers and staff
    • Know the food and drink menus inside and out and be able to respond immediately to customer queries about ingredients, preparation methods, etc.
    • Stay connected with brewery staff to understand and promote upcoming beer releases
    • Assist in hiring new employees that will be a great fit with the Vivant culture
    • Attend required weekly manager meetings


    Job Requirements
    • Ability to come to work excited every day and ready to rock – your vibe is what staff feed off of
    • Ability to handle and address conflict immediately and effectively – staff and guests should be glad they brought up an issue to you
    • Passion for all things Vivant – beer, food, exceptional service & experience, and sustainability
    • A good understanding of beer and the brewing process so you can confidently lead impromptu tours
    • Understanding of Vivant history, policies and procedures
    • A passion for continuous improvement and learning
    • You must be a Cicerone Certified Beer Server at a minimum
    • Proficient in Excel
