Company Overview – Toppling Goliath Brewing Company is one of the fastest growing craft breweries in the Midwestern USA and is currently seeking an experienced Dir. Brewery Operations for their facility located in Decorah, IA. Providence Process Solutions will be acting as the primary contact for all communications specific to this position.
Position Summary – This position will support a unique blend of both the continuous development and management of operational standard best practices for the production, filtration, fermentation and packaging of beer as well as inventory management coordination commensurate with production scheduling. This position will also require the continued development and co-management of quality systems, and safety systems for an entire brewery. Finally, this position will have direct input as to the direction of the brewery’s operations in coordination with the brewery’s corporate strategic growth and market penetration plans.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Recipe and ingredient development based on marketing feedback on beer preferences for targeted market.
Wort production process parameter development and management for automated brewhouse.
Packaging process development and management for bottle, can and kegging lines.
Filtration process standard operating procedure development and management.
Cellar process parameter development and management for automated cellar.
CIP protocol development and oversight in conjunction with QA standards.
Development of quality standards for all production processes.
Development of safety standards for all production processes.
Beer ambassador for educating distributors on beer profiles.
Ingredient selections and vendor contract negotiations.
Production scheduling for three operations.
Specific Qualifications Include:
8+ Years minimum experience as operations manager for 10,000+ BBL per year production facility.
Experience developing new recipes and process production parameters.
Direct brewery operations management experience.
Passion for quality beer and profitable growth.
Compensation Plan:
Base Salary - $100K - $125K / Yr.
Retirement 401K Plan.
