  • Yeast strain developer looking to switch to career in the brewing industry

    Hi,

I am a fermentation specialist currently working as a yeast strain developer for the corn ethanol industry. I am looking to make a career change to the brewing industry, preferably with a company in or near Vermont. The ideal position would be FT and would allow me to apply my technical understanding of yeast, fermentation, and microbiology while learning about all aspects of beer production. Below is a brief summary of my qualifications:
    • Masters of Biomanufacturing and Bioprocessing
    • B.S. Biological Sciences, cellular and molecular biology
    • Several years of experience with yeast strain development, fermentation, and general microbiology techniques
    • Deep interest in and continued self-education about the brewing process and industry

I believe my in-depth understanding of fermentation and my enthusiasm about the industry would make me a fast learner in a brewery environment. If my skills might make a good fit in your company and you are interested in connecting, please feel free to PM me or email me at jfishe01@gmail.com. I would be happy to forward my resume/references upon request.

    Thank you,
    JDF
