    Foothills Brewing of Winston-Salem, NC, is looking for a qualified, cross-trained, shift brewer/cellarman. We are a fast growing company which produced 38,000 bbls last year. We have two locations in Winston-Salem, a 15 bbls brewpub downtown and a 50 bbls production facility. You would have the opportunity to design a recipe at our pub as part of our rotating Footman Series.
    Winston-Salem is a mid-sized city located within 45 minutes of several state parks, an hour from the mountains of northwestern NC and a four hour drive from the coast. Winston-Salem also boasts good public schools, a thriving, ever-growing art scene, and affordable housing.

    The qualified applicant must have the following:
    GENERAL:
    - Ability to work in a fast paced brewery environment while focused on precision
    - Flexibility, results oriented mindset and good attitude
    - Strong communication skills
    - Must be neat and understand cleaning is paramount
    - Ability to work independently and within a team
    - Full availability throughout week to include some nights and weekends
    - Enthusiastic about craft beer

    PHYSICAL:
    - Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds, climb steep stairs repeatedly and work in tight spaces
    - Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and color vision
    - Willingness to be frequently exposed to wet conditions and work in extreme cold or hot conditions
    - Ability to record all brew house information accurately and legibly

    TECHNICAL:
    - Experience in 15,000+ bbls brewery is preferred
    - Accredited brewing education is preferred
    - Minimum 3-5 years production brewery experience
    - Technical knowledge in all applicable aspects of the brewing process
    - Brewing – wort production thru conditioning on a 20+ bbl system
    - Cellar – tank CIP, dry hopping and yeast management
    - Centrifuge experience is preferred
    - Strong background in sanitation

    We are offering full-time (40+ hours / week). Foothills offers benefits including health and dental insurance, paid vacation, food / beverage discounts at our brewpub in downtown Winston-Salem, and occasional other perks. Total compensation depends on experience.
