Head Brewer
Looking for a Head Brewer at our Brewpub in Downtown Richmond.
Our ideal candidate previous has previous brewery experience, a passion for brewing creative beers and the interest and ability to do all levels of the brewing process (including filling and cleaning kegs, etc.)
Required Abilities:
-Operate 7BBL brewhouse
-Recipe formulation
-Mechanically inclined
-Basic computer
-Brew high quality, consistent beer
-Cleaning/sanitizing
-Maintaining equipment
-Manage yeast generations
-Cellar work
-Maintain Draft System/Draft Line Cleaning
-Fill Orders for Distribution
-File VA ABC monthly malt beverage tax and quarterly TTB excise tax
-Maintain daily log records and inventory
-Develop new beers
-Attend events
Applicants should be able to lift up to 55lbs as well as stand, kneel, crouch, and reach in hot/cold/wet environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills, mathematical and analytical skills are required.
A full understanding of beer science and brewhouse and cellar operations are a must.
Salary based on experience.
