    Fish Brewing Company is expanding and is in need of a Production Manager in Olympia, WA

    Fish Brewing Company was founded in 1993 and proudly produces Fish Tale Ales, Leavenworth Biers, and Spire Mountain Ciders. The brewery has received recent acclaims such as, 2015 Washington’s Large Brewery of the Year, Best Beer in the World, and over 50 awards and recognitions over the past year alone! Fish Brewing also distributes its products to over 20 states and 4 foreign countries.

    The production manager position is responsible for overseeing and executing the day to day tasks at Fish Brewing Company. These duties include:
    • Scheduling of all production in all departments
    • Oversight of Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Brewing, Packaging, Warehousing and Logistics.
    • Order raw materials and schedule weekly production and processing needs.
    • Conduct and balance inventory on a monthly basis
    • Improve brewery efficiencies throughout all processes
    • Lead entire brewery to accomplish daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
    • Manage Fish Brewing Safety standards in all areas of the brewery.
    • Hire, train and manage all plant employees.
    • Maintain the brewery in tour-ready state at all times
    • Support Fish Brewing Company Values
    • Work with management in the development of procedures, policies and budgets
    • Other duties as assigned throughout the brewery to assist other departments as needed to accomplish organizational goals.
    • Other duties as assigned by management

    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
    • Be at least 21 years of age
    • 2-5 years production experience in food manufacturing or in packaging. Alcohol industry is a plus.
    • 1-2 years of management/supervisory experience
    • Be able to lift 50+ lbs and work a variable schedule.
    • Experience in hiring and training production and technical personnel
    • Technical and analytical skills adequate to effectively resolve beer production, engineering, packaging, quality, and employee performance issues
    • Familiarity with technical work in consumer preference, technical sensory evaluation, product development, and taste panel operations
    • Sound technical knowledge of brewing raw materials and components
    • Experience in motivating staff to achieve goals; ability to develop and manage productive relationships with staff and peers locally and remotely.
    • Able to aid in all processes from Grain to Glass.
    • Experience with MS Office products, Experience with Great Plains or SAP One highly preferred.
    • Bachelor Degree not required, but preferred in operations management, engineering, biology, or chemistry.

    This position typically works Mon-Fri and will require occasional weekend work. The production manager is expected to work 45+ hours per week. Pay Range for this position is a base of $40K-$45K, plus quarterly bonuses. Fish Brewing Company also offers comprehensive benefits, which include medical, dental, and vision.
