    Position Summary
    Bent Water Brewing Company is a production craft brewery located in Lynn, MA. The brewery self-distributes beer to the local market and maintains an on premise taproom.
    Bent Water is seeking an experienced Office Manager/Bookkeeper, for full-time employment, to work directly with the President of the company and the outsourced CFO. Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day financial functions of the brewery and communication with customers and accounts. The ideal candidate is an accurate, enthusiastic, self-motivated, communicative individual. This candidate enjoys craft beer passionately, is extremely organized and detail oriented, and is both responsible and hard working – just like the rest of the Bent Water Team!
    Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Office Administration
    The Office Manager/Bookkeeper is responsible for supervising all office needs
    o Provide other administrative support to organization staff as needed.
    o Maintain general organization calendar; ascertain which events require owners presence;
    o With President, arrange commitments to maximize time efficiency
    o Arrange meeting facilities when needed;
    o Record minutes when needed, prepare action minutes when needed.
    • Bookkeeping
    The Office Manager/Bookkeeper will be responsible for the financial administration of the brewery
    o Manage accounts receivable and payables;
    o Track and process invoices and PO’s
    o Reconcile daily cash generated by taproom
    o Reconcile petty cash
    o Create and maintain receiving and shipping policies and procedures for all raw materials, brewery products, marketing materials and POS
    o Administration of insurances, contracts and other similar administrative needs;
    o Administration of human resources functions (for a small office);
    o Collect 1099’s for contractors
    o Implement and maintain accurate brewery software, QuickBooks and back of house administration
    o Perform other financial functions as assigned from CFO or owners

    Knowledge and Skills:
    • Must have 3-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reports.
    • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
    • Ability to operate calculator, computer and general office equipment
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll accounting transactions and payroll returns
    • Must be able to keep business and financial matters strictly confidential
    • Excellent people skills
    • Outgoing and enthusiastic
    • A passion for beer making and beer culture
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Effective time management, organizational, and leadership skills
    • Knowledge in computerized accounting and experience in Quickbooks is a must, as well as MS Word and MS Excel
    • Ideal candidate must demonstrate responsiveness, tact, diplomacy, good judgment and confidentiality with all levels of staff, owners and customers.

    Schedule
    • This is fulltime position, onsite at the brewery, during normal brewery business hours (7 AM - 4 PM) Candidate must be willing to adapt to changes in schedules and work additional hours as operations dictate. The work environment requires frequent and regular computer and phone use.
    Compensation
    • Compensation is commensurate with experience. Bent Water Brewing Company offers medical benefits after 6 months of employment.
