    Country Boy Brewing was founded in 2012 by four native Kentuckians for one simple reason – To make the best damn beer in America. In 5 short years, we have gone from a 4 barrel, homebrew-on-steroids, fermenting-in-dairy-tanks operation to breaking ground on a 6-million-dollar production facility. With two facilities, comes the need for more Country Boys and Girls to join our team and work for the Truck.

    Position: Tap Room Manager

    Supervisor: Brand Manager / CBB Partners

    The tap room manager will be responsible for setting up and running the front of the house programs at both our Lexington and Georgetown locations. They will create and implement systems and procedures for efficient operations and be responsible for recruiting, training, and motivating taproom staff. The tap room manager must be responsible, trust worthy, committed to excellent service, and have the ability to work independently and exercise fair judgement.

    Hours: Full-time.

    Pay: Salaried Position. Pay based on experience.

    Bonus: To be determined based on performance. This is not a tipped position.

    Requirements

    Staffing and Team Development:

    -The tap room manager will be a very visible position – they should have a great attitude and enjoy communicating effectively with employees, management, and customers.
    -Schedule, manage, and monitor employees at both taproom locations.
    -Help with regular training exercises to further beer knowledge and customer service.
    -The tap room manager will be the front of house “face” of Country Boy Brewing and is responsible for the positive, laid back Country Boy Brewing attitude and vibe that should radiate from the premise. The best leadership is done by example.

    Taproom Operations:
    -Oversee taproom employees at both locations.
    -Oversee beer ordering for taprooms both internally and externally.
    -Oversee loss prevention for front-of-the-house.
    -Ensure compliance with all labor, sanitation, health, safety, and service laws. Specifically, S.T.A.R. Training, requirements of the local health department, etc.
    -Enforce Country Boy Brewing Policy for front of the house staff.
    -Maintain a schedule for food trucks.
    -Arrange for the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of draft systems and other taproom infrastructure as needed.
    -Attend weekly/monthly meetings with other management.
    -The tap room manager must be comfortable filling in for every task of employees they manage. This includes, but is not limited to, checking IDs, taking orders, serving customers, answering questions, stocking, selling swag, calculating bills, collecting payments, understanding Country Boy products, and all aspects of cleaning the taprooms.
    -Other duties as assigned by Brand Manager / CBB Partners. These job descriptions may be updated as the company grows and management sees fit.

    Events Management:
    -Collaborate with the Events Coordinator and other Managers as needed to create and implement in-house events that will bring in new customers and increase revenue for Country Boy Brewing.
    -Work with the Brand Manager and Events Coordinator to maintain Country Boy brand consistency across all promotions leading up to events.
    -Oversee the setting up, staffing, breaking down and cleaning up of all taproom / on-site brewery events.

    Office Tasks:
    -Monitor beer supply and demand at both taprooms.
    -Monitor inventory of taproom supplies and reorder as necessary.
    -Provide information to the accounting department / managing partners as required. This includes, but is not limited to, event sales, weekly sales, monthly sales, etc.
    -Provide information to accounting department concerning bar staff hours and reported tips for payroll.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    -Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a bar/restaurant. Having managed a brewery tap room is a major plus.
    -In depth understanding of craft beer and quality service.
    -Working knowledge of restaurant POS software and Microsoft office.
    -Outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm while multi-tasking in a busy environment.
    -necessary math skills to perform calculations, process transactions, and analyze sales figures.
    -Able to stand for extended periods, reach, bend, stoop, lift 50 pounds, and occasionally maneuver 165 pound kegs.
    -Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and occasional travel.
    -Must be 21 years of age
