Cellar & Packaging Team Member
Block 15 Brewing Company in Corvallis Oregon is now hiring in our brewery. Be a part of one of Oregon’s most unique brewing operations that believes in organic and conservative growth.
Block 15 operates two breweries: a 7bbl system at our downtown brewpub and a 20bbl system at our South Corvallis Brewery & Taproom
This is a 30-40 hr/wk position and opportunity for the right individual to grow with our company. Pay will begin as hourly, based on experience. Weekends and some holidays are required. Block 15 offers benefits including Sick Leave, Simple IRA contributions, and Health Care to qualified employees.
Training will occur under our lead brewer and experienced cellar staff. Block 15 is Brewer owned and operated with strict attention to quality beers, adventurous brewing, and community.
Qualified applicants must have:
-Comprehensive knowledge of the fermentation process
-Passion for the art and science of brewing
-Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task
-Positive attitude
-Strong attention to detail
- The ability to follow and understand strict SOP’s (standard operating procedures)
-Ability to take direction and work independently
- Computer skills including word, excel, & Google sheets.
-Fun attitude and teamwork mentality
-Experienced palate and advanced sensory evaluation skills
-The ability to lift 150lbs multiple times throughout the work shift
-OLCC serving license
Preferred candidates will also have:
-1-2 years experience in either a brewpub or production brewery and/or formal brewing education.
-Mechanical aptitude
Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:
-Packaging line work and maintenance on our Cask Brewing Systems SAMS
-Packaging line work and maintenance our Meheen Bottling System
-Keg washing/filling
-Fermenter and Brite tank CIP
-General cleaning and maintenance
-Possible hot side training for wort production
