Trillium Brewing Company is looking for a Director of Operations to lead our diverse business management team. This person will provide key support to Ownership of a growing business by ensuring stable and improving operations of multiple breweries through leadership, accountability, and strategic planning. An impeccable work ethic, ability to plan and execute, and excellent people skills are critical to success in this role.
Responsibilities
• Work with Ownership to design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
• Identify, organize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative financial, operational, behavioral, and administrative data from multiple sources and synthesize results, measurements, and key performance metrics into reports to Ownership on a regular basis
• Set comprehensive goals for performance
• Oversee daily operations of the company and multiple departments, including: Sales & Distribution, Retail & Taproom Management, Operations, HR, Systems Management, Facilities Management, etc.)
• Work with Finance Department on projections and budgets
• Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
• Adhere to a culture of professionalism, flexibility, operational excellence and drive for results.
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
• Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
• Participate in expansion planning and opportunity evaluation with Ownership
• Oversee relationship management of partners/vendors
• Work closely with retail and production team on inventory management, personnel and purchasing
Requirements
• Proven experience and 5-7 years in managing business operations related to manufacturing and/or retail, including HR, IT, Finance, logistics, marketing, etc.
• Ability to read, analyze, and plan through data analysis and performance/operation metrics
• Can identify and evaluate complex issues and collaboratively develop, recommend and implement solutions
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead process improvement projects through delegation and supervision
• Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize key organizational issues and goals
• Exceptionally self-motivated and directed, results-oriented with high standards for personal and team accomplishment
• BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
• Experience at a mid-size brewery preferred
• Experience at a startup and/or growth-phase business preferred
• A passion for craft beer is a must and knowledge of the craft beer industry’s laws/best practices is a plus
