More Brewing Co. is looking for a Head Brewer and Assistant Brewer to join our team in Villa Park.
We are slated to open quarter one of 2017 right in the center of downtown Villa Park. We have a 10,000 sq ft facility that will have a full taproom and kitchen as well.
We are looking for a candidate that will be an energetic team player, highly motivated, detail oriented, and have one year of professional brewing experience. This is a full time hourly position and occasional weekend hours representing More Brewing Co. at festivals are possible.
Tasks expected include, but are not limited to:
-Wort production
-Transferring of wort and beer
-Yeast handling
-Packaging beer; including cleaning, sanitizing, and filling kegs, bottling and canning beers
-Maintaining inventory of packaged goods, raw materials, and packaging supplies
-Maintaining brewing equipment in a clean and functional state
-Maintaining a clean and orderly production space
-Communicating clearly with all members of the brewing and front of house staff
-Keeping thorough and consistent written records of all tasks completed
Required qualifications:
-Ability to follow SOPs and other documentation to produce a consistent, high quality product
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to think critically and react swiftly and appropriately to changing conditions
-Ability to work safely with chemicals and other workplace hazards according to safety protocols
-Ability to work well in a team and encourage positive morale
-Ability to stand for long periods of time, crouch, kneel, and generally move about
-Ability to lift 55lb, and team lift 160lb
