pH meter - best value

I would like to get some input on pH meters other brewers are using. I am looking for a handheld model and with all of the choices in the market its hard to tell what is the best value (or even suitable for beer). We do the usual checks during the brewing process and just looking to get a good, reliable pH meter for under $400.
