We are seeking a Shift Brewer to join our growing team and provide an enthusiastic and experienced approach to brewing! This position would be primarily responsible for brewing in a large (10,000bbl+) facility. The ideal candidate will be passionate about brewing, and the industry, and have strong skills in all technical aspects of brewing.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Inspire and maintain a strong team culture
Maintain detailed written facility policies, beer production standards and procedures (SOP)
Keep meticulous records of all brewing and cellaring in logs at 100% accuracy, to include daily tank status reporting
Help to maintain and implement a successful lab & QA/QC protocol by working with QC Manager
Maintain a clean production facility
Must be timely and punctual arriving to work and in all brewery related activities
Willingness to work in other areas of production
Responsible for the quality of the finished beer
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of brewing experience, preferably in the commercial sector
Experience brewing on at least a 10,000(bbl) system
Fundamental knowledge of plumbing and machinery
Skilled at problem solving and troubleshooting
Ability to brew traditional and innovative styles of beer
Excellent industry knowledge, including sensory analysis
Ability to manage multiple processes at one time
Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate our growing brewery
Strong work ethic
Formal brewing training preferred
Ability to bend over, twist, kneel, stand for the duration of shift
Lift 65 lbs. and maneuver 160 lbs. effectively
